Man i just cant get over how crazy the build is...
or maybe i've simply become so accustomed to seeing r-squad being a whole big pile of SUCK for so long i just dont want to stop the feeling.
We'll go with option B.
Anyhow, here's the list. (and yes it's golden age)
TaskForce: Revenge
Characters: 32
2x Winslow Schott <> Toyman, Childs Play
2x Hope
4x Sue Dibny, Charismatic co-ordinator
2x Ted Kord <> Blue Beetle, Heir of the Scarab
1x Brainiac 13, mental Giant
4x Terra Man
2x Booster Gold
2x Mr. Mxyzptlk, Fifth Dimension Imp
1x Atomic Skull, Joe Martin
2x Maxwell Lord, Financier
4x Professor Emil Hamilton <> Ruin
2x Joseph Jones <> General Glory
2x Maxima, Empress of Almerac
2x Martian manhunter, J'ohn J'onzz
Plot Twists: 28
4x justice League Task-force, Team-up
2x Dimensional Deal, Team-up
4x Battle for Metropolis
4x Toy Soldiers
4x Mob Mentality
2x In Evil Star's Evil Clutches
4x Executive Privelege
4x UN General Assembly
Now let me paint a picture for you.
...oh god, Here it comes
no, Not THAT picture.
Anyways, it's turn 4, your initiative. you have 1 Prof emil you salvaged from last turn, a Task-force team-up, a battle for metro and a mob mentality. You set, say, toy soldiers.
So you throw down a boosted booster gold, then recruid Sue dibny, flip the team-up and fetch terra man, and then recruit him, and then finish off with mr. Mxyzptlk for free. And then you form up completely in the front row. Battle for ,metro is that good!
Anyways, You just threw down 4 characters on turn 4 and one of them thinks it is a 4 drop. So your first swing is the obvious one, emil into the opposing 3 for a stunback, heck maybe a 4 if there is a mob mentality in hand, either way, its mutual stun and he trashes the face up mob in your resource row for another Toy soldiers, flipping it up.
Now your 2 drop terra man swing on the opposing 4, at... 9/8. if you avoid the stunback its all money, then mr mxy takes a bit out of the 2, and in most cases decks dont run a 1 drop, assuming this, your sue and booster will team swing direct for 12 damage from a 1 and a 2 drop. Oh yeah, and you potentially did it all with only having 1 character stun.
This is also assuming you get blown out on turn 3 with only 1 piece of board presence.
We like to call that RESILIENCE.
(for those taking notes, resilience is good!)
this isn't event best case scenario, i've had instances where i was able to stack my row with a team-up, a toy soldiers and 2 battle for metros with 7 characters in play on turn 5. (thats +4+1 on my offense to all attacking characters for a guanranteed minimum of +28 attack staring you down and a +5+1 on each team attacker for even more pain.) and unlike faces of evil, these pumps apply to all my characters regardless of drop.
Since the premiseof the deck is "turn my dudes sideways" i'm hoping i've combined simplicity and effectiveness for sucess in the summer of love. But in the end i'm most exited not to have doom in my bracket, AND i don't think i've seen any Flametraps in ANY of the builds submitted.
WOOT!
I'm just overexited at 6am and cant sleep.
Till next time.
